The Kublai Khan
On Wednesday 12th of March, the group had a night out in Glasgow. We all went for a meal at Khublai Khan, a Mongolian restaurant in Glasgow, in the hope that we'd get a taste for some of the food we would be eating when we're out in Mongolia, and we got exactly what we expected. A wide variety of strange meat was on offer, such as wild boar, springbok, shark, aligator, ostrich and kangaroo, and the way they were prepared was really interesting. Each person would choose their own ingredients, as well as creating their own sauce, and would hand their dish to the chef who cooked each meal on an open grill right infront of us. The food was really good and some of us took advantage of the chance to try the uncommon meat more than others.
Overall, we had a great night, and since it was the first thing we have really done as a group it set us up to have an enjoyable training weekend.
